The Malaysian Rainforest came to life at Allegan Area Arts Council Art Camp in Wayland this week for seventeen talented, creative and “lovely artistas” (as they referred to themselves)! It was a very happy, busy and productive week filled with high quality art projects. Our boys and girls enjoyed hands on experiences with collage, soft sculpture, dioramas, crayon resist, batik design, painting and the designing of ceramic tiles. Our week culminated with an art exhibit attended by friends and family members! The Wayland VFW, our hosts for the week in their marvelous facility, treated our campers and guests to cookies and yummy ice cream sundaes to bring our adventure to a close. Teachers and their assistants all commented on what a wonderful group of artists they had, making the week a resounding success!
