AAAC and the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts collaborate to bring summer art workshops to Allegan
KIA’s Kirk Newman Art School and the Allegan Area Arts Council have collaborated to bring art workshops to Allegan this summer. All classes will be held in the Marilla Lounge of the Griswold Auditorium.
The July 11th Watercolor Class will offer two sessions, from 9:00-noon or from 1:00-4:00 or you can take both sessions. Denise Lisiecki, director of the art school at KIA, will be the instructor. She will show the basics of watercolor painting and discuss watercolor tools and techniques of this popular medium. Prices are as follows: KIA members ($45), AAAC members ($55), and non-members ($65). Both sessions: KIA members ($80), AAAC members ($100), and non-members ($120). The August 15th Photography Landscape Class will be taught by Mary Whalen from 9:00-noon. Participants will learn the basics of photography, discuss camera settings and concepts of exposure, control, and composition. Prices are as follows: KIA members ($45), AAAC members ($55), and non-members ($65). [course #253]
