The 2018 Allegan Art Hop was a wonderful success again this year. It was the 11th Annual Art Hop. It was a beautiful evening and even the weather cooperated. We were able to have over 40 artists display their talents at 15 venues in downtown Allegan Michigan. Santa visited with many children and there was free hot chocolate to warm everyone up. We began a new activity this year with what we called the Art Hop Drawing. Participants would obtain a card from any venue and then they would have to get to all 15 venues for a special mark. Once they had completed their card, they needed to drop it in one of the entry boxes which were located at Morgan Appliance or the Allegan District Library. This year we collected 2 very nice baskets overflowing with Perrigo Products donated by the Perrigo Company and were also created 2 other wonderful baskets with items donated to us by Country House Furniture, Sharon’s Quilts, Allegan Community Pharmacy, Hairworks, Allegan District Library, Lake Allegan Artists Group, Dean Michaels and Wings of Hope, Alva Morgan, Barb Thierwechter, Alexa Birkam, Janie Darnell, Mike LaJoice, Kathy Norman, Mary Kasprzyk, Amanda Adams, Allegan Events, Regent Theatre and Celeste Westrate. Our 4 Winners were Marj Cantwell and Sally Hummel each receiving one of the Perrigo Baskets and Melodee Williamson and Paul Carter each receiving one of the baskets filled with items and gift certificates.
